Editorial policy

A number goes on a page only with a source and a check date. Otherwise it stays off.

By Noillirk Field Guide | Updated | Independent, unofficial guide

I have deleted sentences that sounded tidy and were only true of a copy. The 2,500-point perfect game was one of them. The policy below is the rule I was applying, written down so a reader can hold me to it.

Sources, in order

Daily’s own pages come first: playdaily.org/noillirk and the stories linked from that site. A claim about prompts, seconds, bands, zones, rooms, or the daily index has to appear there. Wikidata is used only as a pointer and a one-line description. Reddit and Discord are used for “does this place exist,” with the date we resolved the invite or the post. YouTube clips are embedded only after an oEmbed check.

Another Noillirk domain is a source for what that domain claims about itself, never a source for Daily’s rules. If two Daily sentences disagree, we show both and say which one matches the zone table. The “ten metres per point” line is the current example: Krillion’s page supports it, Noillirk’s zone table does not.

Dates, answers, and corrections

Every page carries the date its facts were checked. Any numbered date derived from Daily’s published first-climb date is labeled as a calendar calculation, not proof of a completed game or an answer record. We do not scrape the game, extract answer boards, or automatically create answer pages. The local status command reports whether an editorial record is configured; it makes no network requests and never generates prompts or answers.

Illustrations are drawn for this site. They are not screenshots of the game. Send corrections to [email protected] with the URL. We change the sentence and the date, or we remove it. We do not run a review score, a star rating, or a “best site” badge.

Questions people actually ask

Do you invent game lore?

No. If Daily did not write it, it is not on this site as a fact.

How do I report an error?

Email [email protected] with the page URL and the Daily page that disagrees.
